SMART Pads sense when they have been placed on the patient and when you’ve completed each step in the rescue. Once placed on the person’s bare skin, they will provide feedback to the AED so it can adapt its voice instructions to your actions, your pace and step down the voltage to be appropriate to pediatrics.

• HeartStart OnSite/Home Infant/Child SMART Pads are appropriate for children under 8 years of age or weighing less than 55 pounds (25 kgs.), including infants.
• Contains one set of (2) adhesive electrode pads.
• Electrode Pads should be replaced after use, or once every (2) years.
